OFFSCRIPT / CODE OF CONDUCT

BUILD THINGS. RESPECT PEOPLE.

OffScript should be a welcoming place to learn, experiment, and collaborate. This code applies to attendees, organizers, mentors, judges, sponsors, and event-related online spaces.

Respect everyone

Treat people with care, regardless of background, identity, ability, or experience level. Harassment, discrimination, threats, bullying, sexual misconduct, and unwanted contact are not acceptable. Respect personal boundaries and ask before photographing or recording others.

Work together responsibly

Give credit, welcome questions, and make room for beginners. Do not damage property, interfere with someone else’s work, access systems without permission, or create an unsafe environment. Follow venue rules and organizer instructions.

Speak up

Report concerns to an organizer at the event or contact us by email. The on-site reporting contact and process will be announced before the event. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

How concerns are handled

Organizers will review reports and respond as appropriate, which may include a warning, removal from event spaces, or disqualification. Retaliation against anyone reporting a concern is not acceptable. Information will be handled with care and shared only as needed to address the situation.
